Britney Spears and Pharrell

We all know Britney Spears is coming out with a new album–titled Blackout–that hits stores October 30, 2007. It’s her first album in four years (In The Zone hit the scene in 2003), so needless to say, Blackout is the a make-or-break album; Spears must remind us why she’s the America’s favorite pop singer. At first, I was skeptical of how this album would turn out. After all, it has been pushed back several times (which usually means it lacks material the record label deems as album-worthy) and Britney has been caught in legal battles over the last few months. And let’s not forget her infamous temper tantrums which have been captured in major tabloids and magazines.

Several tracks from the album have leaked so far, and they’re all dope. There’s not one song I dislike (although Britney might want to consider scrapping “Cold As Fire”). My two absolute favorite tracks from the album, however, are coincidentally produced by the multifaceted producer/singer/songwriter phenomenon by the name of Pharrell. The first is titled “Why Should I Be Sad?” and the other is “Sugarfall.” Thought I’d share the streams of these songs with you to get you pumped for this release. (Sorry, but no MP3s. I’m not trying to pull another Perez Hilton)
