We failed to report Ne-Yo recently launched the video for his new single, “Mad,” off this year’s album, Year Of The Gentleman. I see Ne-Yo’s sharpened up his acting skills. Recently, tens of Ne-Yo tracks have been leaking left and right. I have no idea what they’re from, and whether or not they’re reference tracks for other artists, but thanks to the good homies at HNHH, I’ve come across an amazing track that I can only hope is part of Ne-Yo’s next album:

Sidebar: after a few listens, it becomes obvious he wrote this song for some female artist. It’s all good–it just goes to show the man is constantly reinventing himself.

No time to even post on this one…except to tell you this track is officially off the new Notorious movie soundtrack, which drops January 6.

Someone called Jay and Santogold the black version of the White Stripes… interesting statement, let’s see if anymore collabos between the pair surface.

I was a little worried when Jadakiss dropped “By My Side” featuring Ne-Yo as the first single off his forthcoming Rocafella Records debut, The Last Kiss. I could already see industry heads in a board meeting saying to themselves…”it’s perfect, Ne-Yo blew Plies up–he should be able to reintroduce Jada to the public”…wrong. Call me a hater, but the beat is pretty wack, and Ne-Yo’s hook seems pretty out of the place. Come to think of it, the beat almost sounds like an outtake from Justin Timberlake’s latest record, FutureSex/LoveSounds.

But I digress.

Thanks to the good folks at HNHH, I have what might be hip-hop’s hottest, grimiest new record of the year. (I know, that’s not saying much, but trust me, it’s f***ing tight)
