Are we forgiving this kid this early??? He’s apparently ditched Rihanna for his high school honey Erica Jackson. Music is pretty good though….

NORE does LA

How did I miss this? I can totally see Nore’s peeps coming up with the idea of a “What’s hot in LA” video and it turns into some confusing ass conversation between the rapper and a random crackhead. Gotta love hip-hop.

Ne-Yo Just Doesn’t Give Up…

Ne-Yo Rumors

In the latest remix to Cassidy’s club hit, “My Drink N My 2 Step,” Ne-Yo continues to deny allegations that he, well, pitches for the other team.

So many shots that I cant see straight
All these women around me cats still saying, “He can’t be straight!”
Give me your girl and some Platinum PatrĂ³n
When she come home you can ask, “Is me straight?”

She won’t even talk about what we did,
Just smile, close her eyes, and say, “Yes he is!”

Ne-Yo, no one cares what your orientation is anymore. That was so last year. Keep making those platinum records and getting that guap. (Had to bring that word back…

Take a listen to the song below:

50 Cent Selling Copies Of His Own CDs?

50 Cent Selling His Own CDs

This image just leaked of a 50 Cent promotional van selling copies of the rapper’s new album, Curtis. Since Tuesday, Kanye West’s Graduation has lead the competition, outnumbering 50’s sales by more than 100k. Some stores are even reporting 2:1 Kanye-to-50 album sales.

Could 50 Cent be taking matter into his own hands? I wouldn’t be surprised if he bought 300,000 copies of Curtis just to earn the right to put out another solo album.

What is 50 Cent thinking?

50 CentIn an exclusive interview with the New York Daily News, 50 Cent had this to say in regards to his September 11 album release battle with Kanye West:

“Let’s raise the stakes,” he says. “If Kanye West sells more records than 50 Cent on September 11, I’ll no longer [perform] music. I’ll write music and work with my other artists, but I won’t put out any more solo albums.”

Hmm… interesting. 50 Cent should start digging his grave–Kanye’s album currently resides above 50’s on the iTunes Albums charts. So if that’s any indication of what’s to come of this album release war, Curtis will mark 50 Cent’s final solo album. Errrrrrrr

IS RONALD ISLEY ABOVE THE LAW?

Ronald IsleyAfter being convicted of tax evasion in a Los Angeles federal court, Ronald Isley, 64, was sentenced to three years in prison. During the time period of 1997 to 2004, Isley earned an estimated $12 million through royalty checks and performance fees. A plea to get Ronald Isley out of jail was posted on Def Jam’s web site earlier this week. Is Isley rightfully above the law? This reminds me of the Paris Hilton debate…

In an effort to protect Mr. Isley from incarceration for non-payment of taxes, we urge his fans to call, fax or email the White House immediately to help Ronald stay out of prison. The situation is especially urgent because Mr. Isley is currently scheduled to report to begin serving a 3 year sentence on August 7th of this year. In lieu of the recent charges brought against Mr. Isley, he is currently in the process of a total restitution of his financial obligations to the IRS. Mr. Isley has also offered to perform for troops at various military bases to help heal the country and show his support for their tireless efforts to protect this country. It is important to point out that Ronald Isley has no prior criminal record, and has been a law-abiding, taxpaying employer since 1956. There is also concern that due to a variety of health issues, (Mr. Isley suffered a stroke in 2004 and was diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2006) without proper care Mr. Isley’s health could decline further and there is genuine concern as to whether he could survive a lengthy incarceration.

Hmm… if you care about getting the R&B legend out of trouble, head over to DefJam.com and learn how you can contact the government to request a presidential pardon.
