As you can see in the above promo picture, your girl Michelle Williams is breaking from gospel to a more edgy, pop-disco sound. Earlier this week, her song “We Break The Dawn” leaked via the internet. I’m not even going to front–I’ve been blasting this song everyday on repeat. The thumping bass and raspy vocals are enough to get the entire club moving. I also had the chance to listen to another single that leaked earlier today, titled “Until the End of the World”. Check out the two tracks below. Michelle’s upcoming album Unexpected is set for a summer release. This is certainly a project I recommend to everyone!

Kanye West’s new video for “Homecoming” features a cameo by Common. Props to OnSmash.

Estelle has me sold on her forthcoming project, Shine, set to drop on Homeschool/Atlantic Records later this spring. I absolutely love everything this girl has put out this far. This gem was produced by Swizz Beatz and is titled “Shine.”

This was my favorite song off Will.I.Am’s solo effort, Songs About Girls. Not sure if I’m digging the video, but props to him nonetheless.

Listen to the new single off Cassie’s forthcoming album. This one’s titled “Thirsty.” Definitely a catchy Ryan Leslie-produced track, but nowhere near as melodic and irresistable as 2006’s “Me & U”

We have a big problem on our hands–humans are drastically altering the world’s ecosystems and we are ultimately causing more problems for ourselves down the road. Read a recent article on Discovery News’s web site posted earlier today:

A chunk of Antarctic ice about seven times the size of Manhattan suddenly collapsed, putting an even greater portion of glacial ice at risk, scientists said Tuesday.

Satellite images show the runaway disintegration of a 160-square-mile chunk in western Antarctica, which started Feb. 28. It was the edge of the Wilkins ice shelf and has been there for hundreds, maybe 1,500 years.

This is the result of global warming, said British Antarctic Survey scientist David Vaughan.

I wish I could have made this show. Looks like it was a blast. Supposedly Hov does a video montage in the middle of his set in support of Barack Obama–very honorable!

Finally, the legendary Beyonce is back with a new song entitled “Beautiful Nightmare.” This is supposedly off her third studio album, yet to be titled.

To add to the anticipation, Timbaland is rumored to do most of the producing on her next album. All I really have to say is thank the Lord she isn’t doing a country album, which was a ridiculous rumor floating around. With this track “Beautiful Nightmare”, Beyonce goes for a more Pop/Dance feel. I’m not so into it that I’m going to search the net for a download, but it does get my feet tapping. Though I’m glad Beyonce might be moving in a different direction, I just hope she doesnt go too far out and confuse the hell out of us. Look out for her third album slated to be released late this year.
