I’d like to take this time to welcome you to my new weekly article titled “White Boy Review.” As the column suggests, I am a white boy. My head naturally sways when my favorite Goo Goo Dolls tune pops on my special edition U2 i-Pod. My parents used to give me “time-outs” whenever I threw my blue and grey Furbee at my iguana named Spike. And, the day Steven Segal released his DVD box set, I shed tears of joy on my J. crew v-neck. Although my eye’s light up to the idea of wearing green shorts and a sea-turtle Hawaiian shirt at a summer Jimmy Buffet concert; there’s something about that Chris Brown and T-Pain that makes my shoulders role and hips shake. There’s something about songs like “Juicy” and “Dear Momma” that massage my heart and incite my mind. I don’t know if you can get a better feeling than blasting “On Bended Knee” while on a five-hour drive to the lake house. Sometimes a white boy just needs a little soul to keep his arms flapping.
For this reason, I have decided to write weekly reviews of popular rap/hiphop/r&b songs and music video. I will also be reviewing sweet movies, funny videos, new inventions and other pertinent commodities that I feel my fellow killedthat.com companions would enjoy.

Honestly Interscope, was a $500.00 budget video all you could do for this rising star? Whatever Teyana, you killed it nonetheless. I can’t wait for this girl’s album to drop.
I heard this track during one of the only times I actually watched Making The Band 4. This track was written by The Clutch and produced by Brian Michael Cox. It’s called “Sucka For Love” and is my favorite track on the ladies’ forthcoming album, Welcome To The Dollhouse, in stores this Tuesday, March 18.

Suprise, surprise: Rihanna is re-releasing her album Good Girl Gone Bad. She recently leaked the single over the radio, named “Take A Bow.” The track was written by Ne-Yo, which of course means it was produced by Stargate (my favorite production team!) She sounds as if she finally realizes she is a singer! Even so, the song could have done without the creepy giggles and random talking. If her label is smart, they will strip everything except ‘Umbrella-ella-ella’ from the album and replace it with material similar to what she’s doing in “Take A Bow”–actually singing. She re-releases her album on May 27.

Plies already has a comeback album up his sleeves, and here’s the first single, “Bust It Baby, Part 2″ featuring Ne-Yo. J.R. Rotem produced the track. Loving the Ne-Yo hook–but I’m still not a big fan of Plies. Maybe this album will convince me otherwise…
