KilledThat favorites Alicia Keys, Jordin Sparks, Timbaland, and Keri Hilson hit up Z100’s famed Jingle Ball concert this past Friday, June 14, 2007. From what I hear, the show went really well. Alicia Keys played several songs off her hit album, As I Am, including “No One” and “Like You’ll Never See Me Again,” and Jordin Sparks performed her #1 single “Tattoo” as well as the latest “No Air.” But Timbaland, Keri Hilson, and OneRepublic took over the show with material off their three latest studio releases. Check out some exclusive footage below!

I know I’m not the only one really anticipating Karina Pasian’s debut on Def Jam Records. Her yet-to-be-titled album currently has a release date of March 2008, so I’m guessing we’ll be hearing a lot of new material coming from her soon. If you’re not familiar with this 16 year-old diva, she’s the singer/pianist that had Diddy, Jay-Z, and Jimmy Iovine in a bidding war over her recording contract just two years ago. Jay placed the highest big, and brought Karina over to Def Jam in a multi-million dollar record deal. Since then, Karina has been touring around the country and prepping for her first major studio release.
Check out this exclusive track I received today from her camp:

I’m really excited to have the opportunity to share with you this new album from Def Jam’s latest R&B star, The-Dream. To be honest, I was initially a little skeptical of how successful this man would end up turning out. Yes, he wrote “Umbrella” for Rihanna and “Bed” for J. Holiday–both #1 Hits, I should add–but would his vocals and production be strong enough to produce a respectable R&B album? Initially, I wasn’t sure, but after one listen to LOVE/HATE, I am sure The-Dream achieved just that: a refreshing, almost revolutionary Pop&B album that we’ll still be playing years from now.
Favorite Tracks: “Livin’ A Lie” Feat. Rihanna, “Playin’ In Her Hair,” “Nikki,” and “I Luv Your Girl.” Oh yeah, how could I forget about “Shawty Is Da Sh*!”?
Grade: 4/5. Props to Dream for initiating a brand new music genre, “Electronic R&B.” Not sure I’m feeling “Mama,” “Ditch That,” or “She Needs My Love.” They’ll probably grow on me, though.

Jennifer Lopez is back with her new single, “Hold It, Don’t Drop It.” Definitely different from her first joint, “Do It Well,” but refreshing nonetheless. Props to Brian for posting the song on his site. Sad that the album tanked.
Check out Snoop’s new video for “Sensual Seduction”–loving this song and the video makes it even better. I swear they shot this with a camera from ‘84 or something.
Props to Brian over at Concrete Loop for posting this first… this is a great outtake from Alicia Keys’s latest album, As I Am. The CD dropped two weeks ago and was a complete success, selling over 742,000 copies. Check out the Amy Winehouse-esque track, “Hurts So Bad” below.
Brian’s right–it makes sense why this cut didn’t make the album. It sounds a little to jazzy and nostalgic compared to the rest of the material on As I Am. Regardless, check it out below — definitely one of my favorites.
